Job Summary
Assist the nurse manager with staffing, Kronos, performance appraisals, and 2nd level coaching or disciplinary actions. Ensure quality, safety, and satisfaction outcomes are met by coordinating patient placement, facilitating flow, and adjusting assignments based on census, acuity, and skill mix. Escalate safety concerns, complete emergency readiness checks, and uphold nursing by-laws while maintaining compliance for accreditation standards. Requires BSN, active RN licensure in Idaho, and 2 years of leadership or nursing experience. Regular attendance is essential.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or active enrollment and completion required within 6 months of hire
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program
- Licensed as a RN by the Idaho Board of Nursing OR licensure pending as documented by temporary licensure OR current RN licensure from a state participating in the multi-state privilege to practice compact with Idaho
- Regular and predictable attendance
- BLS required from American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or Healthcare Provider Card from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years leadership or nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- ACLS, if required by the department
- Procedural Sedation, if required by the department
- Kootenai Health approved professional certification to be obtained within 12 months or when eligibility requirements are met
