Job Summary
Coordinate daily perioperative operations, patient flow, and department throughput while providing clinical leadership and operational coordination for PACU services. Plan and adjust staffing based on patient acuity and census, collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure seamless patient care, and oversee supply and equipment maintenance. Serve as a clinical resource for direct patient care as needed, support staff development and orientation, and lead quality improvement activities. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. Requires IL RN license, BLS/CPR certification, and ADN with perioperative or critical care experience. Full-time role in Arlington Heights with 8a to 5:30p M-F hours.
Required Qualifications
- IL RN License
- CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ADN
Desired Qualifications
- BSN preferred
- Experience in Peri anesthesia/OR or Critical Care setting preferred
- Leadership/ charge nurse experience preferred
- Team building, leadership acumen, critical thinking and effective communication
- Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to specialty
