Clinical Coordinator Emergency Department

Job Summary
Coordinate the plan of care in the Emergency Department and serve as a liaison among providers, departments, and schedulers to coordinate testing, scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations. Provide hands-on nursing support, triage and medical guidance to patients, education materials for patient use, and ongoing clinical education to nursing staff. Duties include assisting with procedures and medications, coordinating patient appointments and tests, and ensuring up-to-date knowledge through conferences or training opportunities. This role emphasizes care coordination, communication across clinical teams, and ensuring efficient patient flow in a fast-paced ED setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
- State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Two years’ experience as an RN OR five years’ experience as an LPN required.
