Job Summary
Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the C.T. Department and perform diagnostic computerized tomography procedures such as head, chest, spine, abdomen, and pelvis scans. Assist physicians with biopsies, cardiac, vascular, bone density, and 3-D reconstruction while transporting patients via stretcher, bed, or wheelchair. Prepare patients for exams by consenting, explaining procedures, and administering contrast under physician direction, then monitor their condition pre- and post-procedure. Maintain ACR accreditation, develop department policies, and train staff in handling difficult situations. Document contrast usage in eMar, manage inventory, and verify outpatient orders.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a two-year Radiologic Technology training program approved by the American Medical Association (AMA)
- CRT certification
- ARRT (CT) certification
- Fluoroscopy certification
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards
- At least three (3) years of experience as a licensed Radiologic Technologist
- 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist
