Job Summary
Charge Nurse oversight of direct patient care staff in a dialysis unit, providing guidance and feedback, coordinating staffing and disciplinary actions with the Facility Administrator, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, supervising patient-care activities, training staff, promoting safety and OSHA compliance, administering medications per physician orders, and collaborating with the care team to maintain quality outcomes. Requires RN license, 12 months of nursing experience with dialysis (medical/surgical nursing preferred), and CPR certification; strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to educate patients/families and lead staff meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- Plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- CPR certification
