Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Summary
Assess daily patient care needs, distribute assignments, and supervise all direct patient care activities during dialysis treatments. Provide day-to-day guidance to staff, approve schedule changes, and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and OSHA programs. Administer medications per physician orders, admit new patients, and educate patients and families on End Stage Renal Disease and therapy. Act as the primary resource in emergency situations and coordinate with the Facility Administrator on monthly staff meetings and quality assurance initiatives. Requires RN license, 12 months nursing experience with 6 months dialysis specialization, and monthly Quality Assurance meeting participation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
