Job Summary
Clinical Coordinator role overseeing dialysis nursing operations; provides day-to-day guidance to direct patient care staff, participates in staffing decisions and ensures adherence to regulatory and facility procedures; acts as charge nurse, supervises care delivery, maintains safety and quality outcomes, trains staff, and coordinates with Facility Administrator on personnel and patient care matters. Requires RN licensure, dialysis nursing experience, supervisory/management experience preferred, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. Duties include developing patient care plans, ensuring OSHA safety, coordinating with RNs and staff, admitting new patients, educating patients and families on ESRD and dialysis, and supervising equipment and emergency procedures. Travel between facilities may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience, plus 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients, in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
