Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Summary
Assess daily patient care needs, distribute assignments, and supervise direct patient care staff during dialysis treatments. Provide day-to-day guidance to nursing personnel, approve schedule changes, and lead monthly quality assurance and staff meetings. Administer medications per physician orders, admit new patients, and educate patients and families on End Stage Renal Disease, therapy, diet, and medication. Operate dialysis and emergency equipment safely while ensuring compliance with OSHA programs and facility policies. Assume primary responsibility in emergency situations and coordinate relief charge duties with staff RNs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
