Clinical Coordinator - Charge Registered Nurse - Dialysis

Job Summary
Provide day-to-day guidance and direction to direct patient care staff, approving schedule changes and managing staffing decisions. Monitor and supervise all patient care activity during dialysis treatments, administering medications per physician orders and assessing daily patient needs. Train and orient staff, participate in patient care plan meetings, and ensure compliance with OSHA programs and facility policies. Operate dialysis and emergency equipment safely, perform required testing and verification, and admit new patients according to procedure. Act as the subject matter expert for the team, respond to dialysis treatments, and communicate concerns to the rounding physician.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Must be able to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test
- Must be available for travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community
- Must be available for travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings
