Job Summary
Lead dialysis patient care by assessing daily needs, administering medications, and supervising direct patient care staff during treatments. Guide clinical operations through staffing decisions, approving schedule changes, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and regulatory policies. Manage emergency situations, coordinate with physicians, and oversee equipment safety while participating in quality assurance and care plan meetings. Provide ongoing training, orient new staff, and educate patients and families on End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
