Job Summary
Assess daily patient care needs, distribute assignments, and monitor dialysis treatments while administering medications per physician orders. Guide direct patient care staff on technique and policy adherence, participate in care plan meetings, and supervise documentation. Approve schedule changes, admit new patients, and operate emergency equipment safely. Assume primary responsibility during emergencies and collaborate with the team to address complications. Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews and assist with staff interviews. Travel between facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
