Job Summary
Assess daily patient care needs, distribute assignments, and administer medications per physician orders while monitoring for complications during dialysis treatments. Direct patient care staff, approve schedule changes, and lead emergency responses as the primary subject matter expert. Supervise documentation, operate emergency equipment, and ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory policies. Coordinate with the Facility Administrator on staffing, monthly quality assurance meetings, and new patient admissions. Educate patients and families on End Stage Renal Disease and dialysis therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing (R.N.)
- Must be registered and licensed to practice in the applicable State
- Minimum of 12 months of nursing experience
- 6 months of specialized experience providing clinical nursing care to dialysis patients
- Experience in either a chronic or acute setting
- Certified in CPR or successfully complete course in CPR certification
- Good communication skills – verbal and written
- Employees are required to take the Ishihara's Color Blindness test as a condition of employment
- Travel to regional, Business Unit and Corporate meetings may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Medical/surgical nursing preferred
- Supervisory or management experience preferred
