Job Summary
The Clinical Coordinator for the Ambulatory Multi Organ Transplant team will utilize specialized nursing knowledge to manage clinical activities and coordinate patient care. Responsibilities include performing patient care and educational activities, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and fulfilling administrative duties. Required qualifications include a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing, relevant nursing licensure, and up to three years of related experience, preferably in Transplant nursing. Strong organizational, communication, teaching, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing
- Certificate of competency (licensure) from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) program, Level II Rescuer certification
- Up to three (3) years of relevant experience including experience working in an advanced practice role
- Effective organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to teach one-on-one and/or groups
- Ability to function collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and/or independently
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner
- Demonstrated awareness of and adherence to professional and ethical standards
- Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
- Computer literacy
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized master's degree nursing program preferred
- Experience in Transplant nursing preferred
- Research experience preferred
