Job Summary
Assist providers with front office and back-office duties in outpatient patient management, including registration, payment collection, rooming, care treatment, discharge, and follow-up. Act as a patient advocate while coordinating with providers, families, community agencies, and staff to maximize clinical excellence and reduce treatment times. Float between all ambulatory sites in the region based on leadership needs, utilizing a personal vehicle for travel between locations. Maintain California licensure as an LVN or Medical Assistant certification, hold a valid class "C" driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and possess BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a Vocational Nurse or Medical Assistant education program or 2 years of equivalent work experience
- California licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Medical Assistant certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers
- Valid class 'C' California Driver License
- Verification of acceptable driving record from the California Department of Motor Vehicles
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Knowledge of electronic medical record, preferably Epic
- Basic computer/email skills
- One (1) year of experience as an LVN or Medical Assistant
- Previous experience with an electronic health record
- Previous experience with phlebotomy
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections
- Two (2) years of experience as an LVN or Medical Assistant
- Previous experience with an electronic health record
