Reviews low complexity medical records to identify principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures; abstracts coded data in the hospital EMR/on-site or remote setting; ensures data accuracy and meets quality/productivity standards; stays current with outpatient coding guidelines; requires HS diploma or GED with coding credentials (CCA or CPC-A) to be obtained within a year; preferred RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC/CPC-H; on-site role at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC; 40 hours/week with a pay range of $25.30-$37.95 per hour.
