Job Summary
Greet visitors, answer telephones, and direct calls to appropriate staff while ensuring client calls are answered 90% of the time or returned by close of business. Schedule and confirm patient appointments, collect copays, and pre-screen patients to complete intake, insurance, and case history forms. Compile and record medical charts, reports, and correspondence using word processing and spreadsheet software, transmitting records via mail, email, or fax. Maintain medical records, technical libraries, and correspondence files, while managing office inventory, typing, proofreading, and filing. Prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, and letters, assisting with payroll spreadsheets and covering call offs or employee absences. Ensure the waiting room is prepared daily by lighting, unlocking doors, and maintaining cleanliness.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma supplemented by additional secretarial and accounting training
- Three years of increasingly responsible secretarial, clerical, and fiscal experience
- Valid driver's license
- Access to reliable transportation
- Act 31/Act 126 Clearance Mandated Reporter Training
- Act 34 Clearance Pennsylvania State Police Background Check (Criminal History)
- Act 114 Clearance FBI Fingerprint
- Act 33 Clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
