Job Summary
Conduct assessment interviews, arrange client placement into treatment programs, and manage caseloads of dually diagnosed mentally ill and substance abusing offenders involved in the criminal justice system. Act as a court liaison to investigate and arrange service plans, prepare written status reports on client progress, and maintain complete client records for inspection. Make site visits to treatment agencies as needed and conduct cognitive behavioral interventions and drug testing. Complete follow-up paperwork and ensure all documentation is available for supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, behavioral health, or related mental health field
- Knowledge of treatment programs and local criminal justice and health systems
- Good communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work cooperatively with treatment and criminal justice systems
- Proficiency in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments
Desired Qualifications
- CASAC or other qualified healthcare credential
