Job Summary
Provides direct patient care on a patient-centered surgical unit (4E) under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with mobility and safe patient handling, utilizing telemetry and monitoring devices, performing 12-lead ECGs as directed for Emergency Services, and contributing to care for Behavioral Health, OB, and related populations. Demonstrates multi-tasking, effective communication with the team, and adherence to infection prevention standards. Uses standardized pathways and accommodates fluctuating shift requirements on a 12-hour night schedule in Pasadena, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of clinical patient care experience in an acute care setting
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
