Job Summary

The Clinical Care Management Supervisor role provides daily supervision and oversight of the clinical team, ensuring services are authorized according to medical necessity and aligned with CBH's mission. Responsibilities include building and maintaining a high-functioning clinical team through recruiting, training, coaching, performance management, and succession planning; applying knowledge of behavioral health care services and medical necessity criteria; managing day-to-day operations of Clinical Care Managers; monitoring quality and quantity of reviews; coordinating care across clinical teams; participating in supervision and clinical case consultations; delivering excellent customer service to members, providers, and stakeholders; participating in grievance hearings; developing communication protocols among care managers and providers; facilitating internal and external meetings; providing community supervision and feedback; using data-driven decision making to ensure accuracy of member data and timely communication; collaborating with other clinical supervisors to standardize expectations; reviewing data relevant to members and clinical operations; documenting supervision notes; and completing other duties as assigned. Team responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the Adult Complex Care Team; ensuring coordination with related teams (e.g., Adult Acute, ASAM, IDS, DBHIDS) for longitudinal care; monitoring cases for immediate and longitudinal needs; implementing population stratification approaches; coordinating with physical health entities for referrals and communication. Essential qualifications emphasize a Master’s degree in Social Work or related field; active licenses (LSW/LPC/LMFT/LCSW); minimum 3 years post-graduate experience with at least 6 months supervisory experience; strong time management, communication, collaboration, and customer-service skills; HIPAA compliance; proficiency with MS Office; willingness to travel within Philadelphia and surrounding counties; Philadelphia residency requirement or intent to obtain within six months. This role is based in Philadelphia, PA with on-site requirements and community-based supervision obligations.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field
  • License/Certification: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • PA Child Abuse Clearance required
  • 3 years post graduate experience with a minimum of 6 months of supervisory experience
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task
  • Familiar with medications
  • Proficient in MS Office; typing at least 20 wpm
  • Compliant with HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to travel within Philadelphia and surrounding counties; off-site work as needed
  • Philadelphia Residency Requirement: must be a current Philadelphia resident or become a resident within six months of hire
