Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, triage, and care coordination while utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate care, document patient history and medications, and delegate to unlicensed personnel. Mentor staff, facilitate clinic activities, and support performance improvement policies and risk management training. Maintain a safe work environment by identifying safety hazards and adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and state licensure standards.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Functions within the legal scope of practice
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network and Rapid City
- Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics)
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred
