Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to facilitate timely care transitions in the South Region, including emergency Telemedicine, while collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to plan and evaluate care. Coordinate clinical activities and manage emergent situations using critical thinking skills, intervening when unsafe practices are identified and making patient assignments based on employee competencies and patient needs. Serve as a mentor to staff, participate in house-wide committees, and assist with the Peer Review Process. Provide feedback to the health care team and negotiate conflicts with peers, colleagues, patients, and families. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred in specific networks) and a minimum of two years' clinical experience. Basic Life Support certification required within 60 days.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment into position
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network and Rapid City. Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area
