Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care, coordinate patient assessment, triage, and education while managing emergent situations. Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate care across the continuum of prevention through follow-up. Lead staff assignments based on competency and experience, intervene on unsafe practices, and mentor employees while resolving conflicts with peers and families. Participate in house-wide committees, the Peer Review Process, and active learning resources. Work 12-hour day shifts for 36 weekly hours with straight weekends. Requires an unencumbered RN license, BLS within 60 days, and a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment into position
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network and Rapid City. Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Certification may be required depending on specialty or service area
