Job Summary
Facilitate health care services for patients in the inpatient surgical unit while coordinating clinical activities and managing emergent situations. Lead staff through the nursing process to provide individualized care, make patient assignments based on competency, and intervene when unsafe practices are identified. Collaborate with physicians and inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, while serving as a mentor and resolving conflicts. Participate in house-wide committees, the Peer Review Process, and active learning resources. Requires an unencumbered RN license, two years of clinical experience, and BLS certification. Full-time evening shift with a salary range of $36.50 to $55.00.
Required Qualifications
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days of employment into position
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program, including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network and Rapid City
- Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics)
- Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred
