Job Summary
Clinical Care Consultant supports OneAmerica’s Claims operations by conducting comprehensive clinical assessments of Disability and Life claims, educating claims associates on medical conditions and recovery guidance, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, guiding medical questions for peer reviews/IME/FCE processes, and documenting findings clearly. Requires current RN license, strong clinical judgment, research and analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; hybrid work arrangement in Portland, ME with potential remote consideration for non-local candidates, plus periodic in-office travel as needed to CA, WI, IN, or ME. Strong ability to influence, educate, and develop process improvements within the claims organization.
Required Qualifications
- Current & active RN license in their state of residency
- BSN preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care setting
- 1-year clinical experience in claims organization preferred, but not required
