Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, perform physical hygiene procedures, and maintain patient charts while transcribing physician orders. Enter information into the computerized patient care system and perform general clerical and reception duties as needed. Share tasks with licensed and non-licensed members of the unit-based multidisciplinary patient care team. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant certification on the Georgia Registry, plus American Heart Association Basic Life Support. One year of direct patient care experience is required. Schedule is 0800-1630.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
