Job Summary
Assist patients with activities of daily living, physical hygiene, and comfort while performing procedures within a multidisciplinary patient care team. Prepare and maintain patient charts, transcribe physician orders, and enter information into the computerized patient care system as needed. Perform general clerical and reception duties according to unit or department requirements. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or Registered Medical Assistant certification, plus American Heart Association Basic Life Support. One year of patient care experience is necessary. Schedule is 0800-1630.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
