Job Summary
Provide nursing assistance and patient care for patient comfort, safety, and personal needs by helping with activities of daily living and performing hygiene procedures. Execute duties within a multidisciplinary team by preparing and maintaining patient charts, transcribing physician orders, and entering data into the computerized patient care system. Perform general clerical and reception tasks as needed for the patient unit or department. Requires a Certified Nursing Assistant credential or equivalent medical assistant certification, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, and one year of acute patient care experience. Schedule runs 7AM to 7PM.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
