Job Summary
Conduct nursing assistance and patient care for the comfort, safety, and personal needs of patients. Assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort. Prepare and maintain patient charts, transcribe physician orders, and enter information into the computerized patient care system. Perform general clerical and reception duties according to unit or department needs while collaborating with a multidisciplinary patient care team. Requires Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry or equivalent medical assistant certification, American Heart Association Basic Life Support, and one year of patient care experience. Schedule is 7 AM to 7 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
- Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
