Job Summary
Greet patients, take vitals, room patients, and complete chart documentation. Clean exam rooms and instruments, manage the EMR desktop, and assist physicians during procedures. Prepare sterile kits, distribute faxes and test results, and provide discharge education to patients. Answer incoming and return patient calls in a timely manner. Track medical supplies and verify test results for the physician. Work in a medical office environment Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional overtime. Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and practice management software protocols.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of practice management software
- Knowledge of timekeeping software
- Knowledge of EHR packages
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Adherence to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines
- Awareness of and compliance with all OSHA standards and guidelines
