Job Summary
Under the direction of a Nurse Manager, perform approved activities related to direct patient care, including assisting with activities of daily living, vital signs, I&O, rounding, and patient transfers. Maintain turn schedules to optimize mobility and skin integrity while performing competencies in EKGs, glucose testing, and phlebotomy. Answer call bells promptly and document all activities in the Electronic Medical Records. One year of hospital Nursing Aide experience is preferred, along with BLS certification. This per diem role supports Mercy Hospital's commitment to excellent patient experience and nursing excellence within a 375-bed not-for-profit facility.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- BLS
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as a Nurse's Aide in a hospital environment
