Job Summary
The Clinical Associate provides assistance related to prescription services and prior authorization activities. Essential functions include contacting providers for clinical information, conferring with pharmacists and physicians, processing authorizations, and assisting Customer Service Representatives. Candidates are expected to maintain knowledge of plan specifications, drug therapies, and participate in various clinical initiatives. This role requires a Certified Pharmacy Technician, effective communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to multi-task.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent abilities and skills required.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous case management and pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
- Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists.
