Clinical Associate-Advanced Practice Provider (PA)

Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive inpatient and outpatient urology care, performing histories, physicals, and diagnostic evaluations for admitted and clinic patients. Manage acute and chronic conditions, order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies, and develop treatment plans within the APP scope of practice. Admit, round on, and discharge patients while documenting progress notes and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record. Coordinate care with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary teams to ensure continuity and facilitate timely transitions. Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, and postoperative care, and participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives. Maintain active licensure, board certification, and BLS/ACLS credentials while engaging in continuing education and departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing in a recognized APRN specialty (Certified Nurse Midwife, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, or Nurse Practitioner) or equivalent experience.
  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant/Associate Studies or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to satisfy standards of performance delineated by law and associated professional practice standards, the latter set forth as an addendum to the position description.
  • Ability to manage heavy workload with multiple priorities and inflexible deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Proficient in the use of computing hardware and software, including personal computing equipment, electronic medical record, word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Regular and consistent attendance at work
  • Current RN and APRN NP licensure with the Oregon and Washington Boards of Nursing.
  • Current national Certification in the area of specialization.
  • Current BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification as indicated for the position.
  • DEA Certification.
  • Current PA licensure with the Oregon and Washington Medical Boards.
  • Current NCCPA Certification.
  • Current BLS, ACLS or PALS Certification.
  • DEA Certification.

Desired Qualifications

  • Prefer 3–5 years clinical experience as an APP that demonstrates ability to fulfill responsibilities for the specific role.
  • Quality improvement experience
  • Other position specific: Immediate care or urgent care experience
