Job Summary
Performs direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Provides basic physical care to promote patient comfort, assists with activities of daily living, transports patients and specimens, conducts routine tests (glucose, urine/stool when applicable), performs routine phlebotomy as assigned, records vital signs and measurements, assists with examinations and procedures, supports respiratory care, communicates patient concerns to RNs, maintains a safe clean environment, and helps with unit operations. Requires high school diploma and BLS/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire; prior patient care experience preferred. Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills are emphasized; role involves interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date
