Job Summary

Prepare exam rooms, clean and stock areas, and chart patient information for appointments. Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and tests by performing procedures such as phlebotomy, bladder scans, and catheter changes. Collect and label lab specimens, conduct CLIA-waived testing, and provide patient education on self-catheterization and pre-op care. Cover phones for triage, document calls, and obtain authorizations for treatments and prescriptions. Requires Medical Assistant certification, secondary education, and ability to lift 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent
  • Successful completion of secondary education in medical assisting or another nursing-related field of study
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds
