Job Summary
Clinical Assistant in Fort Mill Orthopedic office: provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care, perform routine office procedures and testing, participate in patient teaching, and collaborate with physicians/mid-level providers. Responsibilities include updating clinical notes in EPIC, triage calls, casting and bracing, assisting with examinations, treatments, injections, room sterilization, suture/staple removal, patient education materials, and coordinating administrative tasks (ordering supplies, filing, managing messages in the EHR). Requires certification credentials and willingness to travel to other OC locations as needed; full-time day role in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing
- Certification is required. CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of: AAMA, NHA, ARMA, AMT, AMCA; EMTs need Emergency Medical Technician certification; ATCs must be board certified as Athletic Trainer; State certification upon recertification.
