Job Summary
Provide and coordinate orthopedic patient care by performing routine office procedures, casting, bracing, and suture/staple removal. Collaborate with physicians and mid-level providers to deliver high-quality patient care, including assisting with examinations, treatments, and injections. Greet patients, obtain medical histories, and document vitals, medications, and allergies in the Epic EHR system. Complete phone triage, educate patients on care needs, and manage administrative duties such as ordering supplies, stocking rooms, and monitoring work queues. Work Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with travel to other OrthoCarolina locations possible.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing
- Certification
- CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through one of the following national organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National HealthCareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
- EMTs will need Emergency Medical Technician certification
- ATCs will need to be board certified as Athletic Trainer
- CPR
