Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing

Job Summary
Develop, deliver, and evaluate the RN-to-BSN curriculum while leading course design, mapping, and program assessment initiatives. Implement innovative educational practices and collaborate with faculty, coordinators, and healthcare partners to align didactic content with skills laboratory, simulation, and clinical experiences. Contribute to accreditation activities and continuous quality improvement efforts to support program excellence. This 9-month full-time appointment begins August 16, 2026, with a renewal based on performance and departmental need. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- two years clinical experience
- Current unencumbered RN license or eligibility for RN licensure in the state of Iowa
- Evidence of expertise in nursing education, curriculum development, and program evaluation
- Demonstrated experience in higher education teaching in nursing
- Knowledge of nursing accreditation and IBON standards, regulatory requirements, and nursing competency frameworks
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in RN-to-BSN curriculum development and revision
- Experience with program development, curriculum mapping, and accreditation processes
- Experience aligning didactic curriculum with laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning experiences
- Experience with concept-based curriculum design, competency-based nursing education, and the integration of learning experiences that support the development and assessment of clinical judgment
- Experience with learning management systems and educational technologies
