Job Summary
The Clinical Assistant Professor for the Office of Clinical Experiences will coordinate field placements for teacher certification students and screen applicants for program admission. Responsibilities include developing relationships with partnering districts, providing ongoing feedback to students, conducting appraisal meetings, and serving as Field Supervisor. Candidates must hold a Master's degree relevant to the position, possess a valid Texas teaching and Principal certificate, have five years of supervisory experience, and eight years of experience as a classroom teacher or administrator.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in field relevant to the position
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Principal certificate
- Five years of experience working in a supervisory role
- Eight years of experience as a classroom teacher or administrator
Desired Qualifications
- Awareness and understanding of current teaching strategies
- Ability to work with the public in a pleasant, cooperative, and collaborative manner
- Ability to travel to multiple school settings within a target area
- Ability to navigate the University's website and enter data
