Job Summary
Escort patients to exam areas, interview for medical problems, and document in Athena. Obtain vital signs, collect specimens, and perform routine lab tests. Support physician orders, schedule diagnostic studies and surgeries, and assist with injections, dressing changes, and suture removal. Apply casts, fit DME, and provide patient education on diagnosis and self-care. Coordinate consultations, manage work-in appointments, and import imaging results into Joints. Maintain supplies, monitor biohazard waste, and ensure OSHA compliance. Wipe tables and change pillowcases as needed. Requires BLS certification and one year of clinical experience.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed/licensed in one of the following (or equivalent): LPN, CMA/RMA, ROT/OTC, ATC, or CNA
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)-required
- Employee must regularly stand, walk, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and assist patients with mobility as needed
Desired Qualifications
- One year of related clinical experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and EMR skills
