Job Summary

Prepare a room and patient for treatment, make and modify molds, perform technical fabrication, and complete administrative tasks. Execute modifications, adjustments, and repairs as determined by the supervising clinician, while providing patient follow-up for selected orthotic and prosthetic patients. Assist practitioners with patient care procedures, including the fitting of soft good items, and perform shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring. Contact vendors to order materials and ensure all procedures align with certifying clinician standards. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to OSHA and Medicare regulations. Work under direct supervision with real-time visual assessment and countersigned documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0 - 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient facing role
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Willingness to verify all clinical activities with certified clinical personnel
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Hand skills necessary to use laboratory tools safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of biomechanical principles
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for reporting information to patient and staff
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan for the purpose of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
