Clinical Assistant II - Urology

Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory urology setting. Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans. Administer medications and treatments. Initiate CPR and other emergency measures. Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment. Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families. Cover other nursing roles within the department. Shift options include 7:30AM–6:00PM, 8:00AM–4:30PM, 8:00AM–5:30PM or 8:30AM–6:00PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross
- One year of recent experience as an RN
- Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area
