Job Summary

Prepare treatment rooms and patients for clinical procedures, perform technical fabrication tasks including making and modifying molds, and execute treatment modifications, adjustments, and repairs as directed by a supervising clinician. Fit and provide soft goods items to patients, offer orthotics fitting services independently, and assist with selected patient follow-up care under clinician direction. Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation of all patient care provided, communicate patient information and care outcomes to the supervising clinician, and ensure all procedures comply with clinical protocols, Medicare regulations, and OSHA requirements. Manage shipping, receiving, and inventory monitoring of prosthetic and orthotic materials, and coordinate with vendors to order necessary supplies.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in a customer service or patient facing role
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
  • Willingness to verify all clinical activities with certified clinical personnel
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Hand skills necessary to use laboratory tools safely and effectively
  • Knowledge of biomechanical principles
  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills for reporting information to patient and staff
  • Effective organizational skills and ability to prioritize and plan for the purpose of meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Act with integrity in all ways and at all times, remaining honest, transparent, and respectful in all relationships
  • Keep the patient at the center of everything that you do, building lifelong trust

Desired Qualifications

  • Preference for allied health professionals (PTA, OTA, Athletic trainer, etc.)
