Job Summary
Interview patients to obtain medical histories and determine vital signs, documenting all findings in the patient's record. Assist providers during examinations and treatments while directing patients to appropriate rooms and preparing them for procedures. Process ancillary reports, schedule appointments, answer telephones, and manage patient communications regarding prescriptions and test results. Perform phlebotomy, high-level disinfection, and equipment maintenance, ensuring adherence to universal precautions and sterilization guidelines. Quote patient self-pay balances, coordinate referrals, and maintain accurate medical records while contributing to department goals.
