Clinical Assistant - Float

Clinical Assistant - Float provides a wide array of clinical support on the patient care unit, assisting nursing staff with technical procedures, managing equipment and supply needs, and supporting patient care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include documenting patient data to RN, incorporating hourly rounding, maintaining patient confidentiality, following infection-control practices, participating in QI activities, attending mandatory in-services, and ensuring 5 annual education contact hours. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and BLS certification within 90 days; prior healthcare experience is preferred. Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, and adherence to unit policies, with flexibility to assist other units as needed.
