Job Summary
Prepare examination and treatment areas, complete patient rooming procedures including vital signs and data collection, and perform assigned clerical activities and supply maintenance. Assist with Point of Care laboratory testing and scheduling follow-up care as ordered. Ensure documentation in the patient record is accurate, clear, and concise. In some clinic locations, assist the medical imaging department with limited x-ray exams following successful competency training. Requires Basic Life Support certification and ability to work assigned schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Professional Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies
- 80 hours of initial training in radiation safety, positioning, image review
- Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
- Ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time)
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time)
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time)
- Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force seldomly
- Regular employment status
