Job Summary

Provide advanced clinical care for small animal patients through the Companion Animal Clinic as part of a collaborative team of four internists, two residents, and one Internal Medicine Intern. Deliver didactic teaching in small animal medicine, clinical skills, and elective courses within the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine curriculum while serving as a clinical mentor for interns and residents. Foster a supportive learning environment that emphasizes professional growth, clinical excellence, and lifelong learning within a multidisciplinary specialty hospital.

Required Qualifications

  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Eligible for Arizona veterinary licensure
  • Board certification (or eligibility) by ACVIM or ECVIM
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills
  • Understanding of patient-centered care
  • Willingness to engage in collaborative clinical research
  • Strong commitment to meeting the needs of students
  • Collaborative mindset to foster a team-approach to teaching and service

Desired Qualifications

  • Teaching experience
  • Research experience
  • Experience in, or willingness to learn abdominal ultrasound
  • Graduate degree in a relevant field of study
  • Additional advanced training in a small animal clinical field
