Clinical Aide

Job Summary
Clinical Aide assists clients with self-administration of medications, conducts medication audits, coordinates with pharmacies and doctors to ensure policy compliance, and supports overall medication-related procedures in a fast-paced behavioral health residential/outpatient setting. Responsibilities include documenting medications on arrival and discharge, securing medication rooms, performing audits, coordinating with medical practitioners and care managers for health screens and TB testing within seven days of admittance, maintaining medication policy knowledge, and performing other duties as required. Requires strong communication, ability to work independently and in a team, familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, and CPR/First Aid/Narcan training; must meet ADHS personnel requirements and hold a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card. Education: High School Diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or equivalent training. Shift coverage includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays; travel between sites and possible local/state travel; valid AZ driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet Arizona Department of Health Services personnel member requirements: at least 21 years old; or licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member's scope of practice.
- Current CPR/First Aid/Narcan training.
- Current and annual negative TB Test.
- Current and valid Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check performed annually and upon hire, preferred.
- Successfully pass a background check and an Arizona Department of Health Services Adult Protective Services check.
- Current “Assistance with Self Administration of Medication” training.
- Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 to 3 months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
