Job Summary
Clinical Admissions Therapist responsible for meeting with clients upon admission, building rapport, and completing biopsychosocial assessments to establish treatment needs. Will determine appropriateness for virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP), construct provisional DSM-V diagnoses, document in electronic medical records, and assign treatment team members and group schedules while keeping staff informed of new admissions. Collaborates with admissions, verification of benefits, utilization review, and clinical teams to facilitate intake and coordinates with referral sources (hospitals, treatment centers, psychiatrists, therapists, and other behavioral health providers). Requires handling shifts including mornings/afternoons (11am–7pm MT, 12pm–8pm MT) and weekends; remote work within the United States is supported. Requires access to reliable technology for confidential telehealth, and a mental health license (independent licensure preferred; associate-level candidates considered). The role emphasizes delivering telehealth services, adherence to regulatory standards, and supporting clients across ages (children through adults) with diverse mental health concerns in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Independent licensure in a mental health field required
- Experience with behavioral health assessments and admissions preferred
- Access to reliable technology resources to deliver telehealth services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with a wide range of ages (children to adults) preferred
- License preferred but associate-level clinicians welcomed
