Job Summary
Serve as an access point resource for physicians, staff, and patients by assisting with the most appropriate level of care and admission status. Apply approved criteria and guidelines in decision making, as well as managed care rules and practices. Ensure a smooth admission experience for patients by coordinating clinical needs with operational processes and insurance benefits. This night shift position runs from 7 PM to 7 AM and requires a Licensed RN with at least two to five years of patient care experience in a hospital setting. A BSN is required for all new hires.
Required Qualifications
- At least two to five years patient care experience in a hospital setting
- BSN required for all new hires as of 1/1/2011
- LIC RN
- Ability to multi-task and process multi-factoral stimulation accurately
- Must be able to complete background check authorization and disclosure form
Desired Qualifications
- Past experience in admissions, utilization review activities, discharge planning, and/or case management
