Job Summary
The Clinical Administrative Pharmacist manages Medicaid program pharmacy coverage and payment rules, optimizing clinical quality and cost-effectiveness of drug therapy. Responsibilities include monitoring service level agreements, providing strategic recommendations for drug utilization and benefit design, and acting as a subject matter expert. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, along with a PharmD degree and valid pharmacist licensure. Strong analytical and communication skills are necessary for client interactions and decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years experience
- 3 years of SME in respective areas
- Must hold current Tennessee Board of Pharmacy licensure or complete license reciprocity prior to contract go-live date
- Registered Pharmacist license in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with business intelligence tools (IBM Cognos or Tableau preferred)
- Familiarity with First Databank and Medi-Span drug information
